Thank you to everyone who turned out for Sketching in The Galleries at The Morgan Library and Museum. It is a great privilege to lead guests for the museums through this two hour sketching session. The program is designed for visitors to create from the many masterpieces in the collection.
We would like to thank Diane Townsend for sending us this terrific box of pastels to offer as a prize for our members at an upcoming event.
We had a great time at our first session at our new location. 27 folks showed up and we drew from two models. We hope to see you at this location in the near future.
We had a great time hosting Roaring 20’s Fashion Drawing at The National Arts Club. This was an amazing session with over 50 sketchers and three models. One of our members assisted in styling the models. We love it when our group participates in different ways. Thank you Leonard C. We hope you will join us next time.

The Morgan Library & Museum: Spend two hours sketching, drawing inspiration from the works in the current exhibitions. Simon Levenson, Artist and National Arts Club instructor, will be available to assist you.
Roaring 20’s Fashion Drawing at The National Arts Club. This was an amazing session with over 60 sketchers and four models. One of our models was a jazz trumpeter who played for us during our final poses. We hope you will join us next time.
It was truly a wonderful day with 49 participants painting and drawing in Union Square. The only requirement was that they include one of the many beautiful statues that grace the park.
Drawing New York had it’s first Digital Drawing Jam at The Microsoft Flagship Store. 16 members turned out to draw our amazing costumed model Maria. We had 12 Surface tablets with Photoshop installed for attendees to work with. Of course they could bring their own or use ours.
We had a great time hosting Jackie Kennedy Fashion Drawing at The National Arts Club. As always, we were so inspired by the amount of amazing work that came out of the session. We had three models posing and ran a film of Jackie’s life in the background.
