Thank you to everyone who turned out for Sketching in The Galleries at The Morgan Library and Museum. It is a great privilege to lead guests for the museums through this two hour sketching session. The program is designed for visitors to create from the many masterpieces in the collection.

The Frick Collection generously reserved 30 spaces for members of Drawing New York to sketch in the galleries on Wednesday, January 11th from 5:00 – 7:30 pm. Free registration includes museum admission and after-hours access to selected galleries; participants are welcome to arrive after 5:00 p.m.

We had a great time hosting Roaring 20’s Fashion Drawing at The National Arts Club. This was an amazing session with over 50 sketchers and three models. One of our members assisted in styling the models. We love it when our group participates in different ways. Thank you Leonard C. We hope you will join us next time.

Roaring 20’s Fashion Drawing at The National Arts Club. This was an amazing session with over 60 sketchers and four models. One of our models was a jazz trumpeter who played for us during our final poses. We hope you will join us next time.

Drawing New York had it’s first Digital Drawing Jam at The Microsoft Flagship Store. 16 members turned out to draw our amazing costumed model Maria. We had 12 Surface tablets with Photoshop installed for attendees to work with. Of course they could bring their own or use ours.
